In order to reduce electrical related injuries and provide for worker and public safety, a comprehensive standard known as NFPA 70E is now available. And to comply with directives of OSHA for safety in the workplace, this standard is often referenced regarding electrical safety for substations, switchgear assemblies, switchboards, panelboards, motor control centers, disconnect switches and other electrical apparatus in the workplace. NFPA 70E recommends the need for safety signs and tags and that they meet the requirements of ANSI Z535 Standards for Safety Signs and Colors. We now have available several versions of labels and signs for hazard notification of Arc Flash and Shock Hazard. These standard versions will meet most needs for the communication of electrical hazards and safety. Custom styles for special applications are also available.
