Bar Clamps for Disk-Type Devices
Darrah's resources include a wide selection of clamps specially designed
for Disk or Press Pack power semiconductor usage. The mounting of press
pack semiconductors demand the use of a clamp to exert precise force in
accordance with the value indicated by the semiconductor manufacturer.
Applying the correct force also assures a good electrical performance
and a low thermal resistance.
Darrah offers a complete range of high quality precision clamps to accommodate
device pole surfaces from 19mm to 125mm diameters. Darrah uses only pre-calibrated
clamps with built-in force indicators to insure high reliability and eliminate
any need for special equipment or torque wrenches. The insulation material
has been selected to ensure the best compromise of dielectric and mechanical
strength and also allow for high temperature operations, 125° C.
Clamps are available from 800 pounds (4 KiloNewton) through 30,000 pounds
(135 KiloNewton) clamping force. When required 7000 volt circuit isolation
is available for high voltage assemblies.
